GOVERNMENT DETERMINED TO TAKE ACTION ON PLAQUES.

Gordon Brown has stated that he is determined to take some action in relation to compensation for Pleural Plaques. In answer to a Parliamentary Question on 12/3/2008 he said the Government will be publishing a consultation document very soon and he has agreed to meet a delegation of MPs to discuss the matter further

COURT OF APPEAL PLEURAL PLAQUE TEST CASE RESULT

The Court of Appeal has now given its judgement in the pleural plaque test case. The Court has decided by a majority of 2:1 that no compensation should be paid to those who have been diagnosed with symptomless pleural plaques.
